Galena Center for the Arts
Karen Stockwell will read from her new book of poetry, Everyday Mysteries, and have copies available for sale and signing. What are “everyday mysteries”? In the context of this volume they are the things we all ponder: the nature of love, making sense of a violent world, how to nurture ourselves and our families. In solving the large and small mysteries we encounter every day, we are able to discover ourselves and the meaning of our lives. Se will also present her marbled paper and fabric, made into prints, cards, and scarves, which will be for sale in the gift shop. Karen Stockwell is the author of two novels and a poetry chapbook. She was a semi-finalist in the 2017 Soon To Be Famous Illinois Author Contest. She has an extensive background in the arts including a M.A. in Art History. Her craft work has appeared in Belle Armoire and Altered Couture magazines.
